Frequently Asked Questions
Why doesn't the concept behind UhuToken already exist?
The idea of using the blockchain as a payment network and cryptocurrencies as actual currencies is as old as the blockchain itself. So far, however, all projects have failed due to the structural problems of the blockchain, i.e. the exchange rate risk and arbitrage against traditional exchanges. Unlike previous projects, UhuToken pursues the principle of understanding blockchain as a new technology that can be integrated into existing processes. With its approach of using existing logics and solutions from previous processes and transferring them to the blockchain, UhuToken is not only the first in the world, but also manages to solve all technical problems using decentralised systems.
When will I receive my Uhu Tokens?
If you purchase Uhu Tokens in the current pre-sale, you will receive your Uhu Tokens after receipt of payment. The prerequisite for this is that you already have a wallet and have sent us your Publik key. If you do not yet have a wallet, we recommend the MetaMask service and will be happy to help you set it up.
Can I buy Uhu Tokens as a company or for my children?
Of course, you can also purchase Uhu Tokens with your company. Please contact your tax advisor for information on the special tax features. Please enter your company details in the purchase process or contact us directly. We will be happy to draw up a purchase agreement with you and answer any questions you may have.
You can also buy Uhu Tokens for your children if your child is under 18 years of age. We offer special conditions for your child's Uhu Tokens. Find out more on our product page or contact us directly. We are also happy to answer any questions you may have here.
Why are Uhu Tokens accepted as a currency over other existing currencies?
Uhu Tokens primarily serve as an intermediary in the TokenPay payment process. This means that the end user usually pays with a stablecoin, i.e. the currency equivalent of a euro or dollar on the blockchain. If you pay with your Uhu Tokens, you start the payment process at step two, your Uhu Tokens are converted into a stablecoin during the payment process, so that the merchant always receives euros and does not have to worry about an exchange and the associated exchange rate risk.
Can I access my Uhu Tokens at any time?
As soon as your Uhu Tokens are visible in your wallet, you can dispose of them completely and at any time - the Uhu Tokens are now yours. UhuToken has no access or control function to your wallet. Access to your Uhu Tokens lies in your private key (12/24 words), so please always keep it safe and never pass it on to third parties.
What is the difference between a token and a coin?
A coin represents the native currency of a blockchain. Examples of this are Bitcoin, Ethereum or MATIC. Each coin therefore has its own blockchain.
A token, on the other hand, does not have its own blockchain, but is a programme that runs on an existing blockchain. UhuToken has opted for a token in order to focus all available resources on developing the payment processing ecosystem.
How can I protect my Uhu Tokens from digital theft?
Please keep your private key safe and never pass it on to third parties. If at any time you are asked to submit your private key, please cancel the process and contact UhuToken. At no time will an UhuToken employee request a private key from you.
You can also move your Uhu tokens to a hardware wallet such as Ledger. If you have any questions about this, please feel free to contact us at any time.
Are taxes due when I sell my Uhu Tokens?
If you have held your Uhu Tokens as a private individual for at least one year, you will no longer be liable for tax on them. This does not apply to income from liquidity providing. If you buy with your company, a withholding tax (formerly capital gains tax) is generally payable on 25% of your profits. This tax is only due at the time you sell your Uhu Tokens. However, please contact your tax advisor for specific tax advice.
How can the price stability for my Uhu tokens be guaranteed?
No guarantee can be given at any time. In principle, UhuToken has developed various technical measures to ensure increased price stability. However, there is always a risk of total or partial failure. Please take this risk into account when making your purchase decision. If you have any questions about the risks, please contact us directly.
Is there a minimum or maximum investment amount?
UhuToken has no volume restrictions, but reserves the right to propose additional contractual provisions regarding sales conditions for large volumes
Why is the initial price €1.20 per Uhu Token?
The market entry price is based on comparable currencies such as the euro, dollar or Swiss franc in order to make it easier to use as a currency for shopping.
Who operates the Uhu Token?
The initial development and further developments were and are carried out by UhuPay GmbH. The official distribution of Uhu Tokens takes place via Uhu GmbH. With the publication of the systems on the blockchain and the entry into force of the decentralisation of the systems, all systems, as well as the Uhu Token itself, belong to the holders of the Uhu Tokens.
On which exchange can I trade my Uhu Tokens?
Following the launch of phase 2, you will be able to trade your Uhu tokens via a separate decentralised exchange (DEX).
What risks do I face as an investor?
Cryptocurrencies are a high-risk investment. There is always the risk of a total loss. Of course, UhuToken uses all technical and other measures to stabilise and increase the price in order to prevent this. However, this cannot be guaranteed at any time - so please consider the corresponding risk before making your purchase.
